The Acting for the Camera workshop gives campers the opportunity to learn single-camera acting techniques and to understand the relationship between camera and performance. Workshops in cold reading, audition techniques, camera-combat and focus concentration are part of the weeklong experience. Each camper will experience working in front of the camera to realize a finished scene. Guest speakers may drop in from time to time to share their knowledge with the camp.

This workshop fills up quickly. Early registration recommended.

Letter from a parent

Hello Professor Schreibman

I just wanted to thank you again for a great experience at UCLA's Acting for the Camera Camp. I definitely learned so much more, was able to hone more skills, and grow as an actress. I couldn't stop thinking about how much I want to be involved in this industry. This has been my passion forever. I believe I am meant to be an actress and even more. I also want to thank you for all the great programs as I loved all what was included in the Acting for the Camera course. I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have learned more about acting for the camera from the strong professors; they have opened my eyes to stuff I wasn't familiar with in the acting world before. Being a part of this course made me realize that this is exactly what I should be doing, and that I am glad to have had that opportunity to be around other people who share the same feeling and passion as myself.

Thanks again for everything! Hope you are doing well!
