Guided by professional artists and master teachers from UCLA's distinguished Theater Department, the UCLA Arts Camp/Workshops feature exciting opportunities for artistic self discovery and professional training.
We are offering an exciting workshop in costume design this year. Our BEHIND THE SEAMS workshop will work in conjunction with out two very successful conservatories. Our College Audition Workshop is very popular and has proven to help many students get into the college or university of their choice. We also offer a 2-week Advanced Playwriting/ Screenwriting program for students who are in the 11th or 12th grades or college freshmen and a two week Theater Acting Conservatory which brings serious young actors into new areas of acting exploration for the stage. Our ever popular Acting for the Camera workshops offer the participants the experience of learning movies audition techniques and working in front of a camera and leaving the workshop with a fully edited scene. This is the seventh year of our intensive three-week Musical Theater Conservatory which trains the finest young talent for the musical stage many of whom have gone on to study in our Ray Bolger Musical Theater program. Graduates from this program have gone on to work in professional musical theater companies and have excelled in their auditions for the best colleges and universities offering musical theater curriculums. All of our workshops are taught by our own internationally recognized faculty who work in the profession when not in our summer program.
