Avramis' "Foreigner" is First Place Winner at Caucus Foundation Awards
TFT's Jerell Rosales also a Finalist

At its 12th Annual Awards Dinner, in Hollywood on Saturday, December1, the Caucus Foundation awarded its First Place grant to recent TFT graduate Alethea Avramis '07, MFA '12, for her thesis film "The Foreigner."
Crowd-funded and filmed on location in Marmari, Laya and the Mani Peninsula of Greece, "The Foreigner" traveled to the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner and the 2012 Palm Springs International ShortFest, among other venues.
TFT alumnus Jerell Rosales '12 was also among the Caucus Foundation finalists, for his Spotlight-winning undergraduate thesis film "Born to Dance This Way."
The Caucus Foundation was formed in 2000 by the Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors, to fund grants for disadvantaged students to complete their student films. The Foundation has relationships with over 40 universities and colleges and has granted $1 million in grants, awards, internships and in-kind services to 125 students.
