UCLA SCHOOL OF THEATER, FILM & TELEVISION TOURS

Prospective students and their parents are invited to experience in-person tours of UCLA TFT. Our tour guides offer a behind-the-scenes peek at our first-rate facilities including theaters, soundstages, TV studios and the very busy prop, scene and costume shops.

Reservations for the in-person tours are required, as space and dates are limited. Due to classes, rehearsals and performances that might be in session, tour participants may not be able to visit some rooms, nor can they audit any classes.

TOUR SCHEDULE

If a tour or information session doesn't fit with your schedule, we encourage you to visit take a self-guided tour of our School and speak with one of our staff in our Student Services Office, located in 103 East Melnitz Hall. We are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., (310) 206-8441. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, UCLA TFT staff and faculty are not available for one-on-one appointments or pre-admissions counseling.

UCLA UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT CAMPUS TOURS

Part of selecting a university is knowing what the campus looks like — its classrooms, lecture halls, recreational facilities and residence halls. Prospective undergraduate students and their parents are encouraged to take UCLA's General Campus Tour, which lasts approximately two hours and is led by a UCLA student guide. It's a walking tour, so we suggest you wear comfortable shoes.

Reservations are required for these campus tours, as space is limited. Please be aware that tours tend to fill up quickly, so we recommend that you make your tour reservation at least 2-3 weeks in advance. To make reservations for a tour or to check out a campus virtual tour, please visit UCLA’s Undergraduate Admissions’ Tours page.

For additional questions about the UCLA General Campus Tours, please call (310) 825-8764.

UCLA RESIDENCE HALLS TOURS

Prospective undergraduate students and parents are also invited to take a 60-minute walking tour of the UCLA on-campus housing residential community. The tour includes visits to resident rooms and common areas plus an optional lunch in one of the residential restaurants. A UCLA student currently living on campus typically leads the tour. Some steep climbing is involved. Space is limited and reservations are required. To start the reservation process, visit our On Campus Housing Walking Tour page.

UCLA GRADUATE STUDENT CAMPUS TOURS

Prospective and admitted graduate students are encouraged to go on a campus tour tailored especially for graduate students. For more information on these tours, visit the Graduate Student Campus Tours page.
