In light of Fox Searchlight's recent acquisition of The Birth of a Nation at the Sundance Film Festival to the tune of $17.5 million (the biggest purchase in the history of the festival), IndieWire created a list of "10 Huge Sundance Film Festival Deals (and How They Paid Off)." UCLA alums and faculty had involvement in four of the 10 films on the list, which featured projects with purchase prices more than $3 million.
