Fengyun Zhang’s research is inspired by the larger question about the deterritorialized circulation of cultural products, particularly across language, nation state and community boundaries. She is writing a dissertation on the distribution and exhibition of Chinese language films in the United States within the transmedia context. As a simultaneous film scholar and art practitioner, she also works in the Los Angeles Chinese Film Festival programming team.
