Mixing Rooms
Mix 1: Pro Tools HD Room
Location: Melnitz 2548 (A&B)
Mix 1 has one Mac Pro with Pro Tools Ultimate with one HDX card, one HD I/O interface and a Control24 control surface. There is also an 88-key MIDI keyboard for music composition work. Mix 1 is a Pro Tools only editing and mixing room, and functions as a classroom for audio lectures. There is no recording booth and no recording capability in Mix 1.

Mix 2: Soundtrack Pro Room
Location: Melnitz 2558 (A&B)
has Pro Tools Ultimate, one HD Native Thunderbolt, one HD OMNI interface and a C|24 control surface. There is also a Focusrite Scarlet for basic audio recording into Avid and Premiere Pro. Mix 2 is designed as a beginner sound room for students working on picture editing who need to record quick audio and have a simple set up for mixdowns in Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro or Pro Tools. Mix 2 has a basic V.O. booth with a microphone, mic stand and headphones built into the original projection booth for recording quick voiceover, ADR or Foley effects. There is also a small upright piano in the Mix 2 booth.
