Three UCLA TFT alumni are Tony Award nominees

Actors Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis announced the names of three UCLA TFT alumni when the 69th Annual Tony Awards nominations were revealed on Tuesday, April 28.

Producer PAMELA COOPER (M.F.A. '76) has been nominated in the category of Best Revival of a Musical for On the Town, playing at Manhattan's Lyric Theatre. Producer SARAHBETH GROSSMAN (B.A. '83) is nominated in the Best Musical category for the Palace Theatre's An American in Paris; and director JOHN RANDO (M.F.A. '88), a 2002 Tony Award winner for his direction of the musical Urinetown, is nominated in the category of Best Direction of a Musical for On the Town.

Cooper and Grossman are also nominated for 2015 Drama Desk Awards for their respective shows. Cooper was previously a Tony nominee in 2012 as a producer of Best Musical hopeful Leap of Faith.

The Tony Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 7 at Radio City Music Hall and will air on CBS at 8 p.m.
