Mark MeasuresMark Measures is a true Hollywood original. Born in the heart of Tinseltown, he grew up at the corner of Sunset and Gardner. After school, he hit the road as a stage manager. While doing a two-week stage-managing run in Reno (a magic act that opened for Naomi and Wynonna Judd), Measures received word that Rich Fields-Freed, an up-and-coming commercial agency, was looking for an assistant. He jumped in the car, drove all night, and soon started a 30-year career in artist representation. Rich Fields-Freed merged with Talent Group Inc. (TGI) in 1989. For the next five years, Measures worked as an on-camera commercial agent. In 1994, he joined Special Artists Agency’s (SAA) commercial division where he learned the celebrity commercial business, as SAA served Creative Artist Agency clients in the endorsement world. Measures took over as director of on-camera and voice-over commercials at Abrams Artists Agency in 1999, overseeing 10 agents in one of the country’s busiest, bi-coastal commercial departments. While there, he developed talent for the theatrical department and headed the new media and alternative programming departments. When Abrams added a dancer/choreographer branch, Measures spearheaded that effort as well. Additionally, he was instrumental in getting the company into the celebrity endorsement arena by representing a lengthy roster of A-List clients. In 2013, he joined Kazarian/Measures/Ruskin & Associates, where he still works as an agent in one of L.A.’s few Equity divisions while also running the agency as its president.
