Veronica Jacobo is from Guanajuato, Mexico. Her research examines Mexican national cinema from the 1960s-1980s, engaging auteur theories, star studies, and cultural studies. She also acts as the public engagement and educational outreach coordinator at the UCLA Latin American Institute. She oversees community and educational programming for K-12 educators focusing on Latin American topics from pre-conquest time to the present.

Research Interests

Mexican media, U.S. Spanish-language media, migration audiences, Ethnic Studies, and Cultural Studies.
