Donald De Line

About DeanDonald De Line, has, during his more than 20 years in the movie industry, collaborated with outstanding talent on both sides of the camera. Most recently, he was the executive producer of Fox's hit summer series Wayward Pines, starring Matt Dillon and Carla Gugino. Prior to that, he produced Pain & Gain (2013), starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson; and director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern (2011), starring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. The film brought DC Comics’ classic character to the big screen for the first time. Presently, De Line is developing a wide range of upcoming film projects under his De Line Pictures banner, headquartered at Warner Bros. studios.

De Line scored his first major hit as a producer with the 2003 heist thriller The Italian Job, starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron and Edward Norton. Some of De Line’s other films include Ridley Scott’s Body of Lies (2008), starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe; John Hamburg’s I Love You, Man (2009); Observe and Report (2009), starring Seth Rogen; and Yogi Bear (2010), a live-action/CG animated adventure starring Dan Aykroyd as Yogi and Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo, which grossed more than $200 million worldwide.

In addition to his producing career, De Line has held positions as a studio executive. He served as president and vice chairman of Paramount Pictures, and president of Touchstone Pictures. During De Line’s tenure, Touchstone’s films grossed in excess of $2.5 billion worldwide and garnered an impressive 24 Academy Award nominations.

Among the films he oversaw at Touchstone were Pretty Woman (1990), What About Bob (1991), Father of the Bride (1991) and its 1995 sequel. Also, under his aegis was the Oscar-nominated biopic What’s Love Got to Do With It? (1993); Tim Burton’s critically acclaimed Ed Wood (1994); Ron Howard’s Ransom (1996); Wes Anderson’s Rushmore (1998); and the worldwide blockbuster Armageddon (1998).
