Scott Sanders
An acclaimed Broadway, film and television producer, Scott Sanders joined Westfield Corporation as creative head of global entertainment in September 2016. Sanders' Tony and Emmy Award-winning production company, Scott Sanders Productions (SSP), is a subsidiary of Westfield Corporation, based in New York City.
In addition to developing and lead producing the original Broadway musical of The Color Purple and its 2016 Tony and Grammy Award-winning revival, Sanders and his team have produced such shows as After Midnight (2014 Tony Award winner, Best Choreography); the first-ever Broadway revival of Evita, starring Ricky Martin; The Pee-wee Herman Show (Broadway and Los Angeles); and Elaine Stritch: At Liberty (2002 Tony Award winner, 2004 Emmy Award winner). Other new stage projects include Honky Tonk Girl, Up Here and Tootsie, as well as the feature-film version of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights.
Sanders and his team are responsible for integrating compelling new content, live events, entertainment and innovative consumer experiences into Westfield’s worldwide collection of properties, with a focus on such flagship destinations as Westfield London and Stratford City in the UK; Westfield Century City, San Francisco Centre, Valley Fair and UTC in California; and now in New York City, under the magnificent roof of the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center.
