Earlier this week we celebrated World Storytelling Day. The year it began is contested, but we do know that it originated in Sweden as a national observance.

Though storytelling is an age-old tradition that has evolved over time, its power remains the same: It continues to bring people together and shapes our understanding of the world. From oral tales to written narratives, stories have always been the heartbeat of humanity and the core of unforgettable theater, film and television.

We continue to celebrate a day where the goal is to share the art of storytelling with as many people possible. At TFT, we’re helping cultivate the next generation of storytellers — and the future looks compelling and bright!
